a) What is the secret of prospering in whatever you do?
This is a very precious secret, hidden in plain sight in the Bible.
These are the preconditions for prospering in whatever you do.
i) If you do not walk in the way of the ungodly (do not keep long company with nonbelievers)
(ii) If you do not stand with the wicked/sinners (do not keep company with sinners)
iii) If you do not sit with the scornful
iv) If you delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on it day and night,
Then you shall be like a tree planted by the riverside, fruitful in every season, and whatever you do, you shall prosper.
This is from Psalm 1:1-3

b) Should we choose our thoughts? Is it good to think on whatever thoughts meet any specific criteria?
Yes, as Christians, we are advised to choose our thoughts. This implies that other thoughts we should be rejecting.
We should think on :
whatever is true, honorable, worthy of respect, right and confirmed by God’s word, pure and wholesome, lovely and brings peace, admirable and of good repute, of any excellence, worthy of praise – on such kind of things we should continuously think on such things.
Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart] (Philippians 4:8 AMPC)
c) The Bible has an amazing instance when people who ask for things receive whatever they ask for. Who are the people who ask? Who gave? Why?
The 10th and final plague over Pharaoh and the Egyptians, decreed by Moses, was the death of the firstborn of man and cattle. The Pharaoh, whose heart was hardened by the Lord until then, was filled with unbearable sorrow and pain. So he asked Moses and the Israelites to leave Egypt with their families and their cattle.
So Moses asked the Israelites to ask Egyptians for silver, gold, and clothing. The Lord caused the Egyptians to look favorably upon the Israelites who asked for things. The Israelites who were slaves were given whatever they asked for and the freedom to leave Egypt. The slaves plundered the Egyptians, their masters.
35 And the people of Israel did as Moses had instructed; they asked the Egyptians for clothing and articles of silver and gold. 36 The Lord caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth! (Exodus 12:35-36)
The Lord had foretold this to Moses in Exodus 11:1-3, and the Lord said to Moses, “I will bring one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt. Afterward, he will let you go from here. When he lets you go, he will surely drive you out of here altogether. Speak now in the hearing of the people, and let every man ask from his neighbor and every woman from her neighbor, articles of silver and articles of gold.” (Exodus 11:1-3)
d) How can we receive whatever has been prayed for?
Jesus said that whatever things we ask in prayer, we believe that we have received them, and then we will have them.
Believing that we have received them is the condition for eventually receiving the answer to our prayers. Another key hidden in this is forgiving.
The important keys for making effective prayer are mentioned in Mark 11:24-25. Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.(Mark 11:24-25 NKJV)
After we abide in Jesus and the words of Jesus remain in us, whatever we wish will be done for us. Good to remember that the very thoughts and desires we have, as the words of Jesus abide in us, will be those that please Jesus.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (John 15:7 NIV)
e) Is there any universal guideline a Christian should follow in whatever they do?
Whatever we do, we should do it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to the Father God.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:17)
Even in matters of eating and drinking, as well as all other matters, we do so for the glory of God.
So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
f) A Christian is expected to put to death specific natures, whatever they are. What are the natures to be put to death?
Christians are to put to death their earthly nature. The earthly nature mentioned in Colossians 3:5 includes sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry. The verse is given in blue.
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.(Colossians 3:5)
Instead, they are to put on the nature of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. (Romans 13:14)
The moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become a new creation.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
The immediate change after a person accepts Christ as Lord and Savior is no longer a slave to sin. With Jesus accepted as Lord and Savior, the wages of our sin is paid and settled by the sacrifice of Lord Jesus on the cross. As the wages of sin are paid, we are no longer slaves to sin.
Yet the old natures do not immediately leave us. This happens only as we repeatedly exercise our will. When we keep rejecting the earthly nature and choosing the heavenly nature instead, the new creation gets established in us. We know very well that when we reject the devil, he will flee from us. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
Here are the heavenly natures you may wish to put on yourself after getting rid of the earthly natures. The verse itself is detailed.
So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper]; bearing graciously with one another, and willingly forgiving each other if one has a cause for complaint against another; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so should you forgive. Beyond all these things put on and wrap yourselves in [unselfish] love, which is the perfect bond of unity [for everything is bound together in agreement when each one seeks the best for others]. (Colossians 3:12-15)
g) Why should a Christian having a relationship with the Holy Spirit not worry about what to speak when he is taken to trial?
A Christian does not have to be anxious about what he would say when he is taken to trial, as he has the assurance that the Holy Spirit would prompt him to speak whatever is given to him at that time.
Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. (Mark 13:11)
