Make a willful choice.
Declare these powerful biblical truths aloud.
Declare twice daily over six weeks.
You will soon experience a sound mind.

Your eyes will start to see what’s significant.
Your mind will soon think wonderful thoughts and opportunities.
Your ears will start hearing what matters.

What you allow your eyes to see and your ears to hear affects your mind.

Once you start declaring, you will be reminded by the Holy Spirit to stop watching and/or hearing things displeasing to God. (refer to Philippians 4:8)

Go ahead and make these declarations for a sound mind.

Declarations for a sound mind

My hope and trust are in God alone.
It’s not in any man or riches.
My hope is not in my strength nor my wisdom.
God is with me always, and He never leaves me.
My Lord God is all-sufficient for me.
He is my strong tower and my fortress.
God is my shield and my protection.

My thoughts, words, and actions are expressions of God’s power and love.  (based on 2 Timothy 1:7)

God has not given me a spirit of fear.
He has instead given me a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.
I reject every influence of the spirit of fear and anxiety in my life.
I know that all things work together for good for those who trust in God.
I am filled with hope as Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead.
There are no hopeless situations for me, as I am in Jesus Christ.
(based on 2 Timothy 1:7)

Jesus Christ gave me the Holy Spirit of God
The Holy Spirit is my comforter and counselor.
He teaches me all things.
He reminds me of all the things that Jesus has said. (based on John 14:26)

My mind does not conform to this world.
But I am transformed by the renewing of my mind.
that I may prove the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

I set my mind on things above
Not on the things of the earth.

As I confess my sins.
God forgives my sins and makes me righteous.
So I don’t carry any burden of sin.
The finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ has redeemed me.

I am in Christ Jesus, and Jesus Christ is in me.
The one who is in me is greater than he who is in the world.
I believe a host of angels encamp around me.
Those who are with me are more than those who are against me.
(based on John 17:23, 1 John 4:4, 2 Kings 6:16) (Note the small “he” denotes the evil one in the world.)

I am led by the Spirit of God, and so
I am one of the sons of God.
(based on Romans 8:14)

I ask Father God and receive
The spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the knowledge of God,
The eyes of my understanding are enlightened that
I may know the hope of the calling of Jesus Christ.
(based on Ephesians 1:17, 18)

Father God, fill me with the knowledge of your will.
In all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
I pray and believe that I fully please God.
Being fruitful in every good work.
(based on Colossians 1:9, 10)

I declare these prayerfully in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Journey to a sound mind

As you seek a sound mind, earnestly fill your mind with everything that pleases God alone. Here is a powerful scripture verse on this truth.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Colossians 3:16)

As you start getting blessed by these declarations, you may wish to bless your loved ones by sharing these declarations.
