Both are emotions we come across in our daily walk.
Which emotion we choose to carry is our choice.
But do we know what happens after that?
Sorrow is like darkness.
Joy is like a bright light.
If you want to be clueless about your situation, continue in sorrow.
Sorrow blinds you. Makes you even deaf. Sorrow gets you into a pit.
Joy opens your eyes. Possibilities that were never known, begin to appear.
You will also find people with solutions to connect with you. People are also more willing to meet up with you.
The Kingdom of God is Righteousness, Peace & Joy. ( Bible verse Romans Chapter 14, verse 17. The full verse goes like this, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.”) Thus Joy makes up 1/3rd of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Sorrow has its basis in a lie that you are limited by your circumstances. Joy is based on an understanding you choose to hold tightly that your hope is in HIM, your strength is in HIM. He will make a way, where there is no way.
Your Joy becomes unshaken when you surrender all to Him & believe that, Joy of the Lord is my strength. ( Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, “Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength“.)
Yet again a reason to be joyful. Believe that this is a day that the Lord has made. Go on to read the verse Psalm 118:24. “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.“
