The Bible reminds us of the importance of remembering verses. We are asked to meditate on the law and commandments of the Lord day and night. One of the early verses that I remember is from Psalm 119:1. It says, “Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
We either build relationships with words or let them fail when we do not speak correctly. This happens in our homes, at work, in business, in church and elsewhere. Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour knew when to speak, had great will power to remain silent when it was the best option. When Satan tried to entice him with sin quoting scripture, Jesus spoke with wisdom with power citing the appropriate context of the scripture.
God is sovereign. He can do whatever He wants to. We have this verse from the Book of Psalms 115:13 But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. Yet many times He chooses us to use our free will to act, speak, do things so that we consciously take action. In this article, we look at the latter.
