God is merciful. His love is steadfast. It is unwavering, resolute, and not dependent on our sin or our circumstances. God’s love towards us does not depend on us, our situation, or our circumstances. His mercy and kindness towards us are innumerable and beyond our understanding, as they are without limit. In God’s loving-kindness, he cleanses us from every sin, inequity, failure, and shortcoming of ours.

I turn to You, Oh Lord, with all my heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.
I rend my heart and return to you, Lord, with all of my heart.
My brokenness is for You, not for man to see.
