We live life on earth, as citizens of Heaven on an assignment here on Earth. Our assignment is to bring Heaven on Earth through Jesus Christ, our redeemer. In this process, we get transformed into His image. We know that God created us in His image and His likeness. This is a process of transformation.
We progress in our assignment as we progress into being transformed into His image. Hence, they cover a wide range of canvas as the journey is resplendent and colourful in its variety. You will enjoy reading these, not necessarily agreeing to them – that is not a prerequisite to enjoy it.
Discipline of a Christian As Christians we are to pray and read the Bible daily. Ideally we are to have a quiet time with God daily, hear Him daily. We are to praise and worship Him daily at home. We are to have a daily quiet time at home. We are to go to church and worship God as a community. We are to have Holy Communion as often as possible. We need to forgive ourselves and others. We need to be obedient to what the Lord directs us to. We need to be willing to sacrifice as well as share and be charitable. We need to love ourselves and others. And many more. All these may not be our default nature, but we can choose to discipline ourselves in all these. Most importantly we need to love God above all and be fully confident about His great love towards us. We have this verse from Proverbs 3:5-6 which says this. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. All these are elements of a disciplined Chritian life. With discipline complemented by faith we can develop a consistent lifestyle which pleases our Lord and saviour.
I choose to put my hope in God every day, in all circumstances.(Psalm 42:11)
The God of hope fills me with all joy and peace as I trust in Him. I overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.(Romans 15:13)
I am joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.(Philippians 4:4) I am blessed as I trust in the Lord and my hope is in Him. So I shall be like a tree planted by the riverside, fruitful even in drought. (Jeremiah 17:7-8)
I rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for me in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
God hears all I ask for according to His will.( 1 John 5:13-14)
I receive mercy and loving-kindness from God my Hope. (Psalm 130:7)
All things work together for good for me as I love God and I have been called according to His purpose.(Romans 8:28-32)
The Lord has plans to prosper me, plans to give me hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
I hope in the Lord and renew my strength. I will soar on wings like eagles; I will run and not grow weary, I will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
I fix my eyes on what is unseen since what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

God shows me the path of life. I have the fullness of Joy in God’s presence.(Psalm 16:11)
God restores to me the years that the locusts have eaten. (Joel 2:25)
I will persevere in faith and shall see the cloud the size of the fist of a man bring rain in droughts. (1 Kings 18:44-46) I am not limited by what I see or know, yet supernaturally situations will change for my benefit. (Although I may not see wind or rain; the valley shall be filled with water.) (II Kings 3:17) I will not lack any good things, as I will always, in all matters, seek the Lord. (Psalms 34:9-10)
I trust in God alone; I will always remember His name. So I have risen and stand upright. (Psalm 20:7-9) Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They have bowed down and fallen, But we have risen and stand upright. Save, LORD! May the King answer us when we call.
The Holy Spirit teaches me all things and brings to my remembrance all things that Jesus has said. (John 14:26-27)
The Lord surrounds me with a shield of favor.(Psalm 20:7)
I rejoice in the hope of the glory of God even in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance, character, and character, hope. My hope is fulfilled as the love of God is poured into my heart by the Holy Spirit.(Romans 5:1-5)

Even in drought, we are like trees watered. (Jeremiah 17:7-8) Make these declarations aloud. Believe them as you declare them daily. A person filled with the joy of the Lord knows: For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). Hence filled with hope and sees possibilities.
