God’s love towards us is evident in creation and in every stage of life. But if we choose not to see God’s love, we will not see it. If we choose not to hear God’s expressions of Gods love, we will not hear it. If we choose not to understand God’s love, we will not at all be aware of it. So let us use the eyes and ears of our heart.
Nick Vujicic was born without limbs. Yet he decided to hear about Gods love for him. He heard it. This is the link about him in the BBC. His testimony can be heard in this video.
We don’t have to be without limbs, to know about God’s love. Here we have God’s word, clearly telling us about His thoughts towards us.
God’s love towards us is no ordinary love. It’s God’s delight in us. A few verses here point to God’s thoughts towards us. The writing in blue is from the Bible. Read. Read to understand.
The Lord considers you to be very precious. In the book of Zechariah 2:8 God says this about you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye. You are that precious one – that apple of God’s eye.
King David asked God to protect him. Keep me in Your affectionate care, protect me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me in the protective shadow of Your wings (as in Psalms 17:8). King David knew he was precious in the eyes of God. King David was known as a man after God’s heart. He knew God’s thinking well.
From John 3:16 we know about God’s super abundant love for us that He chose to sacrifice His Son’s life. “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His One and only-begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him as Saviour shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Because God delights in you, he rescues you and brings you to a great safe place. He brought me out into a broad place; He rescued me because He was pleased with me and delighted in me. (Psalm 18:19)
Our God delights in you so very much, that you can not help but start singing. I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me. (Psalm 13:6)
God’s love is such that he rejoices over you with shouts of joy. Did you know that He is so delighted in you? Here is the verse from Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God is in your midst,
A Warrior who saves.
He will rejoice over you with joy;
He will be quiet in His love, making no mention of your past sins,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.
God love is not casual, but extremely serious. He says he will never, for a moment, hold us loosely, rather He will firmly and securely hold us. Hebrews 13:5 says Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed—be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!”
God tells us not to fear anything in this world because He is with us.
He tells us not to be afraid, as He is our God. He will strengthen us, He will help us, He will take hold of us with His strong hand. Isaiah 41:10 says :
Do not fear anything, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation.
When you step into God’s presence you experience total joy, fullness of joy. So amazing is His longing and love for you. God guides us so that we make all the right choices with wisdom from above. We are never confused. The correct decisions are not only in huge matters but also in small aspects of life as God delights in you as a parent delights in their loving baby. Read this. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psalm 16:11).When your heart is joyful, hope in your heart increases. All of us who love God, love His name and call Him just like a toddler who always repeats Pappa, Dada, Mamma, Mummy are extremely joyful in Him. (b)Because God will bless the righteous. (c) With favour, the Lord will surround them – just like a shield. Here is the verse from Psalm 5:11-12 from 3 versions of the Bible, so you get to enjoy the various beautiful expressions. 11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. 12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
11 But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits. 12 For You, Lord, will bless the [uncompromisingly] righteous [him who is upright and in right standing with You]; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favor).
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. 12 Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
