Today’s verse is from Psalm 20:7-8 Here is the verse from three versions of the Bible.
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. (version KJV)
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm. (version NIV)
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
But we will remember and trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They have bowed down and fallen,
But we have risen and stood upright. (version AMP)
The world trusts in what is seen, what is tangible. Thus, people of those days trusted in horses and chariots. Today you may trust cars, metro trains or a taxi. The people who trusted them would discover that these fail. Your car could break down, the metro could be cancelled. There could be a surprise taxi strike with no taxis in the city.
Whereas if we trust in the Lord, trust in the Lord to provide us with the right transportation, He will give us the right travel option on the required day. Trust in Him alone. He will never fail.
Remember those who trust in the Lord, rise up and stand upright.
We need to place our trust in Him. He will lead us. He will make a way where there is no way. He is a miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness. May His guide you today and all the days of your life.
Let us make this change in our lives by trusting the name of the Lord. Trusting Him to lead and guide you.
