We are to carry the Glory of God in our lives. The only Glory we carry should be the Glory of God. While the Glory of God is the manifestation of God’s Power, the visible attributes can be Bright Light, Burning Fire, Glory Cloud, and many others… as well as the invisible attributes of God.

I have not seen any of these yet, but I have known the experiences of people who have experienced these. I have heard them speak about these encounters when they experienced God’s Glory. I have read articles and books they have written. I have also read instances of God’s glory being experienced by people in the Bible.

God’s glory can be experienced in the still small voice, as well as the huge bang of a loud thunder. All these to a degree and intensity, fierceness beyond all imagination, beyond all that many of us have ever experienced. The still small voice can be a thought or an impression, a vision or a dream.

The more the cashier at a money exchange handles the touch and feel of authentic currency, the more he will know and discern the counterfeit currency.

Similarly, a person who has a relationship with God will certainly know when his encounter is indeed from God. One sign of Encounters with God’s Glory is the abundance of Peace, Joy, and awe of God.

Here we have a clear distinction between what is from God and what is not from God (i.e. the thief, the evil one).

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.(John 10:11)

You can dwell on this by reading Note 1, mentioned towards the end of this page. Get to know the finer aspects of the Good Shepherd. I received a deeper understanding of the good shepherd and most likely you would as well.

We also know that the Glory of God is from His nature, His character, of who He is.

This is the place where we start to know desire and receive from God’s nature, character, and who He is.

So we should desire for a relationship with God, and get to know Him through the relationship. In this process, we experience the truth of these scriptures.

As we and work towards carrying God’s glory. In this process knowing, learning, and gleaning from His son Jesus Christ who was sent to the earth is the starting place. Because God sent Jesus into the earth, to live in our midst. Jesus was sent to the earth to redeem us by His blood, by His life, so that we are once again connected to God for eternity. Knowing and gleaning the nature and character, nature and who Jesus is important.

Here are a few verses about Jesus in the above context.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14 NKJV) Thus when Jesus came to the earth, born as an infant and then crucified on the cross as a ransom for ours since.

knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.(Romans 6:6 NKJV) Thereafter Jesus was resurrected on the 3rd day. He lived among us after His resurrection with all who accepted Jesus as the Lord and savior.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV) Our old man, our old nature is dead. But the Spirit of Christ that dwells in us has made us a new creation. The verse below makes this abundantly clear.

And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. ( Romans 8:10 NKJV) So we become alive with the New nature of Jesus Christ. We can imagine the glorious things that happen as our lives become transformed because of Jesus Christ in us.

Some of us need the reminder of how glorious Jesus Christ is who dwells in us. Read below that Jesus Christ is the brightness of God’s glory.
Jesus Christ is the image of God Himself. Better to read the verse below slowly so that the greatness of Jesus Christ is within you and every other Christian who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, (Hebrews 1:1-3 NKJV)

We know how Jesus was glorified when Peter, a professional fisherman with many decades of experience, knew very well there was no possibility of catching fish as he had already tried all night. But on the instruction of Jesus, he just obeyed. He was so surprised at the humongous catch that he knew that the great abundance of fish caught was just a supernatural miracle.

5. But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word, I will let down the net.” 6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. 7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats so that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”

9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; 10 and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” 11 So when they had brought their boats to land, they [a]forsook all and followed Him. ( Luke 5:5-11 NKJV)

So as we surrender to the voice of God, His nudges, dreams, or visions we are giving an opportunity to bring glory and honor to God. Thus as surrendered vessels as God, as we hear His voice, we bring glory and honor to God.

In this process, we get to give sight to the blind eyes, bring to life those who are dead, give freedom to the captives, exchange joy to those who are mournful, give hope to the hopeless, and so on. Thus bringing healing, hope, peace, and all of heaven’s attributes here in our surroundings contrary to the situation and circumstances, thus bringing Glory to God. Isaiah 61, points to this.

1.“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to [a]heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To [b]console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:1-3 NKJV)

As we read the scripture, believe, and choose to get transformed we become transformed into becoming the glory carriers of God.

But we all, with unveiled faces, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Consciously we are to with intentionality desire to bring Glory and Honour to God. This strong desire and prayer certainly get answered more and more as we have this as our desire.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Carrying Glory in everyday life
Yes, as was mentioned above, we can see that we need to do all things to glorify God. This also implies that there are specific ways to bring Glory to God in our daily lives.

We bring Glory to God, as we align our words, deeds and actions to be pleasing to the Holy Spirit of God. How is this done? We can do this by ensuring that our life bears the fruit of the Holy Spirit. This can be done by ensuring that our words, actions and thoughts bear the fruit of the Spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV)

So as we live as a New Creation in Jesus Christ, our old man in the flesh is dead, but the New man is alive in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering. ( Colossians 3:12 NKJV)

When tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness and longsuffering cloth us we bring Glory to God. When we are slow to anger, overlook transgression, overlook an offence, we bring Glory to God.

The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, And his glory is to overlook a transgression. ( Proverbs 19:11 NKJV)

Thus let us be certain that as we consistently desire to bring Glory to God in our day to day life, we can bring Glory to God. For we know that God gives abundantly more than what we desire.

We know for certain that God gives abundantly more than what we ask or desire. ( as mentioned in Ephesians 3:20-21 )

All the very best in your desire to carry the Glory of God.

We know for certain that God gives abundantly more than what we ask or desire. ( as mentioned in Ephesians 3:20-21 )

All the very best in your desire to carry the Glory of God.

Note 1:
Psalm 23, is all about how our Lord shepherds us, His people. Read this Psalm, even if you know this psalm read it once again after having read the verse John 10:10 given above.

1 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.

2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.

3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
