Banish Anxiety, Embrace Peace – Bible verses for transition

Change your perspective about anxiety. Knock down every baseless argument in your mind.

We can easily find many reasons to worry about a thousand issues in life. Our constant attention to these issues can succeed in enlarging them and make us weary. Alternatively we can choose to ignore these issues and focus on God, as per the powerful principle of IF. (Indebted to a dear friend for this principle. Myself as well as many others were greatly blessed.)

Trusting our Lord as our strong tower. Holding on to Him as our shield. Casting all our burdens on Him. Having the creator of the Universe as our strength and an ever present help shifts everything.

Here we have a few amazing verses from the Bible. These powerful truths are to be read repeatedly until your understanding increases. Read these 2 to 4 times daily. Read for 6 weeks. Discipline yourself. Perhaps taking a print out could help.

Here are seven topics and verses, which should help you relinquish anxiety and embrace Peace from the Lord.

Exchange all your anxiety with peace of God

Jesus cares for you. Place your anxieties at his feet

Do not lean on your understanding

Do not fear, The Lord God will hold you with His right hand

God is able to make you have all sufficiency

Do not be anxious about what to speak

Stop worrying for food & drink, your Heavenly Father cares for you

Exchange all your anxiety with peace of God
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6–7)

Jesus cares for you. Place your anxieties at his feet
Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)
Casting the whole of your care – i.e. all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Do not lean on your understanding
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)
Do not get limited by what you know. Instead, lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

Do not fear, The Lord God will hold you with His right hand
Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
(Isaiah 41:10)
Fear not, indeed there is nothing to fear, for I am (the Lord God) is with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My victorious right hand of rightness and justice.

God is able to make you have all sufficiency
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
And God is able to make all grace, every favor and earthly blessing come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation.

Do not be anxious about what to speak
But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. (Mark 13:11)
Now when they take you to court and put you under arrest, do not be anxious beforehand about what you are to say nor even meditate about it; but say whatever is given you in that hour and at [b]the moment, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Stop worrying for food & drink, your Heavenly Father cares for you
For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? (Matthew 6:25-34)
He will lead you to the right next steps. Umpteen miracles happen these days, as they used to. Wine which got over at the wedding of Cana was abundantly supplied by Jesus. The Lord will cause you to remember either the right friend for you to seek, or bring to your door the right stranger offering the right supplies.
